Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I have the great honor to invite you in the name of the Moroccan Society of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (SMCC) and the Arab Federation of Clinical Biology (AFCB) to attend the 13th ArabMedLab which will take place in the beautiful city of Marrakech. The capital of the South Morocco is ideally located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains with its famous Jemaa El fna Square and the beautiful historical attractions.

The famous ramparts, beautiful gateways, luxury hotels, splendid Palais des congrès and the many places of interest are all within short distance of each other ensuring an ideal environment for the scientific and social exchanges which are the hallmarks of the SMCC conferences.

The International Scientific Committee have developed an attractive Programme with topics of interest to all biologists, highlighting current topics in all disciplines of our specialty while incorporating new aspects that reflect a modern approach of the Clinical Biology. The main scientific Programme reflects practice interests of the local organizers as well as new developments in our rapidly advancing field.

In addition to the topical issues on diseases biomarkers and the inevitable topic of quality assurance and accreditation, we have planned sessions on diseases of interest on public health in the Arab world, such as hemophilia, hemoglobinopathies, celiac disease and bacterial resistance to antibiotics.

The various symposia will be led by renowned specialists coming not only from Arab countries, but also from different countries around the world. I take this opportunity to thank them for their contribution to the expected success of this great event.

We will also have plenary lectures and many industrial workshops. I would like to thank all our industrial partners for their contribution as sponsors or exhibitors.

The Poster session will allow young scientists to discuss and exchange about their researches. All these activities will take place in the spacious Palais des congrès with our exclusive use. On behalf of the AFCB and the SMCC we look forward to seeing you all in Marrakech.
